The Ladies Inter District Competition was held at Dukes Park in Bridlington. Ten players from 5 different clubs made the early start to the east coast to represent the district.
The first match was against Castleford. Our players played extremely well on a large, fast green winning four games and, in the end, loosing 165 points to 174 points. The second match was against Skipton. This was a tough match against some very good lady bowlers including several who represent the County. Our ladies put up a good fight winning two games and can be proud of their performance
Although disappointed that they didn't win more games, the ladies enjoyed themselves. They realised that they were up against ladies who are used to playing together in ladies leagues which was reflected in their team spirit and support for one another.
Next season the ladies have suggested that before travelling to Halifax, they should get together for some team building sessions and practice.
