Whether you are under ten, or over eighty, and are taking up the sport for the first time, crown green bowls is a great game for people of all ages to take part in.
What does Crown Green Bowls Involve
Crown Green Bowls is a game of concentration, precision, accuracy and involves rolling biased or irregular balanced balls as close as possible to a smaller ball called the Jack.
It has been a popular sport in the UK for centuries and there are hundreds of bowls clubs up and down the country.
As the sport does not involve periods of prolonged and intense activity, it can be played by pretty much anyone. Bowls is a great way of remaining active as you get older and also staying connected within your community. It is especially good for families to play where grandad and grandma can play with their siblings and grand children. There are not many sports where that is possible.

For many keeping connected with a local sports club and simply watching and socialising with players and other spectators whilst having refreshments during the summer months and attending social activities is rewarding in itself.
